Thursday, June 5th, my mom and I dragged our butts out of bed to catch a flight to Oregon. We only woke up when we got our Starbucks at the airport. Our first flight was okay, but the connecting flight was late, which messed up our whole day. We were going to drive down to the Undersea Museum in Newport, but didn’t have enough time. On the way I played with Mom’s handheld GPS to figure out how it works. It sucked because we started the drive only to turn around after going almost half way. We ended up eating real late after checking into our hotel.

Cave FormationsThe first day we woke up early to check out the Oregon Caves. I worked on entering information in Mom’s navigation tool for the upcoming events. The GPS seemed to have a personality of its own, so we named it Navie. When we got to the cave the guide told us there were 550 steps, but Mom still made it with no problems. The California Caves are better, but we still had a good time. We saw the longest tree root, a bat, and some other world records. There weren’t any angel wings and few stalactites and stalagmites. We had the most fun buying souvenirs and gifts. Mom found two really cool rings.
